It appears that all 2000 of the 2009 production of the Mitsubishi MiEV were sold in justa few days recently in Japan . Mitsubishi even removed the cars on show in shopping mallsand showrooms across Japan demand for the new car was so high !The cars were sold at 4 million yen , and then with the government subsidy the enduser price was around 3 million yen , 22,698 euro !Despite the obvious high demand for this car , Mitsubishi intend to make only 4000 ofthese cars available in the home market…See More

- What is your favorite electric car and why?
- I think at the moment it has to be the TESLA , mainly because I think a high performance sports car with a decent range is about the only thing that will make the petrolheads sit up and realise that electric cars are only within the realm of possibility but also
can indeed be fun !

All this years MiEV's now sold !

Lumeneo Smera hits the street in France !
The car is powered by two 15Kw brushless permanent magnet motors driving the rear
wheels through an innovative belt drive transmission . Performance is claimed to
be impressive with 100km/h coming up in around 8 seconds and the Smera will
cover around 150 km on a charge , using only 7 Kw/h per 100km !

Tom Hanks just loves his Electric Cars
Tom Hanks has released a second video on the subject of Electric Cars; and boy oh boy
does he love them ! His five year old Toyota Rav4 EV has now covered 47900 miles on the
original batteries with the maximum range between "fill ups" coming in at 93 miles, about

Could Sergio Marchionne's bid for world car manufacturing domination have an ulterior aim ?
was asking wether or not the Chrysler electric vehicle program could survive once Fiat started
pulling the strings , anyway the con-census of opinion was that this project would indeed be
shelved and Chrysler would achieve the elevation of the fleet MPG in the States by selling
the smaller more economical products from the Fiat lineup… Continue

U.S. Drops Research Into Fuel Cells for Cars !
The american energy secretary Steven Chu said in Washington on thursday that Fuel
Cells to power cars would not be practical over the next 10 to 20 years , and that
