BYD unveils their 186 miles pr charge "e6" EV

You just gotta love the shameless, Asian way of presenting new products.

But all kidding aside. The e6 will hit the marked in 2011. It has a top speed of 100 miles per hour, and combined with a range of 186 miles per charge and a batterylife of 373 000 miles it should be quite competitive. If it hits the road that is.

Continue

Info about my 2000 Th!nk EV named "El Rayo"

Bought this EV from a car rental company June 19th 2003 with 9500 km on the odometer as a second car for short trips to work. However it quickly became my first car and proved to be reliable on trips up to 100 km one way. Finding electrical outlets for charging was actually no problem, they are everywhere. The first summer I participated in an autoslalom event - see my video. In 2004 I went to Denmark with a group of fellow EVers to meet with Danish and Swedish EVers. The highlight of that trip… Continue
