EV news for the enthusiast by the enthusiasts

Swedish television is reporting that there are hopes of making Th!nk cars in Sweden.
The Swedish tv-channel SVT Västnytt rapports that there may be things in motion to move the production of Th!nk e.v's from Aurskog to Sweden.

There are thoughts of making a e.v. core in the cities of Uddevalla og Trollhättan, where Pininfarina and Saab has their productions, and because of the crisis in Swedish car-industry, its a great production capacity here.

A Swedish group called Power Circle, which includes Vattenfall and ABB among others have tried to get production up and running in Aurskog, after this was hailed because of funding round December.
It's this group, together with Innovatum which has now thought of making e.v's.
-The advantage of moving the production here lies in that the industrial foundation and infrastructure is already in place, says Chief Development officer Tore Helmersson on question about moving production over the border from Norway.
But he ad's that it doesn't mean that Th!nk wont be a Swedish/Norwegian cooperation.

Saab is struggling after their American owner General Motors (GM) have stated they will get rid of the production firm. And this will make the unemployment scenario greatly brighter for a lot of Swede's in these regions.
Last week Saab had to go into dept negotiations and Wednesday they closed down the production almost a day.
The reason was that the Swedish customs department stopped all shipments of cars and parts because of unpaid customs taxes with the company.

Kathinka von der Lippe at Th!nk doesn't want to say anything about the television-rumors, but states that they have sold some cars to Power Circle and also have a deal on delivery of more cars.

For those who can understand Swedish, here is the report from SVT:

Cheers, Richard! I'm a bit of a "trivia fan" myself (yep, i'm that boring!) Not knowing Swedish (just a bit of French & German), it intrigued me to know what it meant. i'd actually searched "Tjenare" on wikipedia - it came up with "Tjenare Kungen" (God save the King). So, thanks for the info! I should have just asked b3nn|-J! Your knowledge of the English language puts us UK'ers to shame. :D Also didn't know about the problems with Saab - good news for Sweden, though, in the employment market.

For those who don´t understand what "Tjenare" in b3nn|-J ´s illustration means. Its a polite way of saying hello. It can be traced back to the middle ages and os a shortening of the frase "I´m your most humble servent"
How is that for some useless info at a Saturday =) ?
