Plastic versus steel - Th!nk vs Mercedes

When two cars arrive at an intersection with no traffic lights or signs at the same time there are rules for which car should yield. For every time some hurried driver is successful in hitting my car I avoid at least 10. But this one hit me and spun my car around 180 degrees. Excuse the quality of the photos by my old cellular (mobile) phone.

Steel car: Torn off plastic piece on the bumper, bent bumper, dented fender, dented hood, all left hand front lamps crushed.

Plastic car: Deep scratches in the door, rear fender and rocker panel, cracked hub cap. Scratch marks from the Mercedes bumper on top of the rocker panel, where it is covered by the door. Signs that the plastic body parts has flexed a lot and returned to original shape.

This close up illustrates how much the plastic rocker panel flexed and made a mark on the steel frame.

Thank you for the post ! This looks quite impressive for your cars part.

We had a "crash" incident during the filming of the Think film as well. It was on the ice track and it happened from a complete standstill when we where leaving for the day. It was so slippery out there that when we started our cars, they just slipped backward into the fences of the track. The Think got a damage that was just puny while the Toyota SUV production car lost it whole sidepanel above the left backwards facing wheel =)
