EV news for the enthusiast by the enthusiasts

According to NTB, the Norwegian AP counterpart, the ongoing work on getting a short-term financial solution to the ev-maker is in the final phase. New cars will be on the market within the next few weeks.

The leader of the debt Committee, attorney Jo Rodin, said that the short-term financing is likely to be in place Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. That will give the board and the debt Committee the breathing space they need for a couple of months.

- Think is a product so interesting, that I expect this will go through. The short-term solution is to keep the business floating in a couple of months, so that we can reach agreement with creditors and potential new investors. The holidays have been quite hectic, " Rodin says to NTB.

No details
Rodin will not comment further about the content of the rescue package, or about who that could come in as the new co-owners with fresh capital.

- We are talking about a combination of loans from private, loans from state institutions, and possibly several owners, "says Rodin. Innovation Norway is one of the financial institutions that may come to Think´s aid with loan guarantees.

It´s a CG but you can find some pictures of the Real life version of it in our photo section. Still its a concept car, not something that will be produced anytime soon.

The fact that some people never heard of BYD electric car wasn’t too surprising for me. Despite the fervor for electric cars, the BYD electric car is made by BYD Auto, an auto-manufacturing firm in China. The F3DM, their electric model, was unveiled in December, but it hasn't been selling and, as of now, the public isn't eligible to line up personal loans to get one, as it's aimed at fleet applications. However, they do plan to vamp up to mass production, but the cost is still a bit prohibitive – coming out to about $22,000 USD. Still, let us hope that some people line up for installment loans for green vehicles like the BYD electric car.

Thanks for the link, Gunhild.........wow! It looks pretty good - and, maybe importantly, I think it looks cool enough to attract the younger driver, too.

I can't tell if that car in the photo is CG or if it's real? Good looking compact ... I hope it's real.
