EV in the public transport lane in Oslo

This video was shot by a member of the Norwegian EV association to demonstrate how wonderful it is to own an EV in Oslo. The car he is driving is a Think City 2008 - model i believe.

By the way if you are driving in the public lane you should keep up the pace in order to keep up their (the other drivers) "normal" speed. Bad publisity if you dont :-/

The video was taken with å mobilphone in my old THINK (199 000Km 2000mod) . It looks more scary than it was i real life. Wide angel optic tends to make some optical distortion. I am still alive ;-)
Had the new TH!NK for about three weeks now and so far i have driven it almost 3000km at work and privat , very nice car. A new era so to speak ;-)
Lots of experience with the old one and soon the new one will show its potesial

Concept cars and reality are two different things =)

I am not sure, but I think I read somewhere that Saab with partners have a concept EV, with pleeeenty of power for your highway. 512bhp I think. It also has a range of up to 500km and charging time of 15-20 minutes =)

You can read more about it here:

hehe... that is great, but filming while driving there is kind of scary, since people usually don´t check for cars while pulling out in that lane!! soooo don´t do that again, please, we like our Th!nk drivers to stay alive!

Very similar situation here in California and many other states.

BTW, Th!nk really REALLY needs to get that damn factory running and shipping Th!nk cars to the USA. Assuming the "Cash for Clunkers" bill passes, a purchaser of an EV can qualify for $12,000.00(!!!) in incentives if you turn in an old clunker and buy an electric car. But here is the catch . . . THERE ARE NO HIGHWAY SPEED ELECTRIC CARS AVAILABLE! (Other than the Tesla, but that is only available in limited quantities and costs over $100,000. If they sold the Th!nk City in the USA for $35,000 in the USA, that would be $23,000 after incentives . . . a great price for a car that you can drive in the carpool lane and would be really cheap to fuel.
